- TriviaUses the same "library" set featured in The Beyond (1981).
- GoofsFishing line can be seen attached to the bat that attacks Lucy in the cellar. Also, when Norman stabs the bat with a pair of scissors, blood comes out of the bat in places other than where the scissors penetrated it.
- Quotes
[Ann is kneeling on the floor, mopping up a huge pool of blood]
Lucy Boyle: What are you doing?
Ann, the babysitter: I made coffee.
- Crazy creditsIn the end credits: "no one will ever know whether children are monsters or monsters are children." - Henry James
- Alternate versionsThe Vestron home video release of "House By the Cemetery", which was released during the 1980s, has two reels of footage out of order. This error makes for a nearly incomprehensible film, as characters who die are seen later seen alive and running around as if they had never been killed.

Below average Fulci. For fans only.
I can't claim to be kind of Fulci expert, having only seen four of his movies to date, but that's probably four more than your average 'Scream' or 'Jeepers Creepers' fan so I feel entitled to having an opinion. 'House By The Cemetery' isn't Fulci at his best. All his bad points are on display here, and few of his good ones. 'House...' in no way reaches the heights of Fulci's outstanding 'The Beyond'. In fact it doesn't even make it as far as his flawed but hugely enjoyable 'City Of The Living Dead'. Apart from a handful of outstanding gore scenes I found very little to offer here. Argento's movies are uneven and sometimes frustrating, but even his weakest movies are at least interesting. Fulci's weakest aren't. They are just dull. I found watching 'House By The Cemetery' to be a bit of a chore to be honest, and that's always a bad sign with horror movies. For rabid Fulci fans only. Otherwise check out 'The Beyond', then (the uncut) 'Zombi 2' for his best work.
